The government of Brazil hosts its side event at COP 20 in Lima today, a quarter past one P.M. at local time. It will bring together high officials from ACTO countries, highlight the results of cooperative efforts currently undertaken by the countries as well as showcase Brazil´s submission of its Forest Reference Emission Levels (FREL) for results based payments in the Amazonian biome. Monitoring the Amazon forest: a regional undertaking built on the Brazilian experience.
